FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 04, 2004
IOWA ORGANICS NETWORK LAUNCHES IN EASTERN IOWA

Zander Graphics is delighted to announce the launching of the Iowa Organics
Network, a cooperative community whose mission is "to increase public exposure
to local business and advance the field of natural health." Members of the ION
community gain access to email discussion groups, print and online advertising
opportunities, press and marketing services, and a variety of other business
resources.
The ION website serves as an interactive directory of local food producers,
natural health practitioners, and other merchants who are actively concerned
about the welfare of our communities and our world. Visitors to the ION site can
easily find the finest quality goods and services and support their local
communities at the same time. News articles and links, professional association
links, community events calendars, and many other resources, keep our members
and visitors up-to-date on the latest developments in our relationship with the
world around us. Recipes, quotations, and educational games supplement the ION
site.
Thoreau once wrote, "The finest qualities of our nature, like the bloom on
fruits, can be preserved only by the most delicate handling. Yet we do not treat
ourselves nor one another thus tenderly." As more and more people turn to more
healthy lifestyles, we need a stable basis of support to be there, organized and
ready to educate. One of the main goals of the ION community is to offer people
a tender welcome back to nature, and to show them what their local community
really has to offer.
As a cooperative community, ION attempts to increase positive interaction
among its members. Input from members and visitors is encouraged, including
comments, suggestions, editorials, articles, stories, and participation in email
discussions. Through a positive community atmosphere and cooperative efforts,
the Iowa Organics Network strives to increase public exposure to local business
and advance the field of natural health. Healthy commerce encourages a healthy
community and a more pleasant environment for all of us. Events organized by
community members will be promoted on the ION site as well as through email
lists, on other area websites, and printed announcements. As the community
grows, we will begin to organize more and more public events.
Benefits such as online banner exchange programs, web hosting, e-mail
services, discussion lists, site submission tools, professional directories,
free classified ad access, and discounts on graphic services from Zander
Graphics make ION membership an extremely powerful and cost-effective marketing
tool. ION members will also be able to access tools to start their own online
store, to buy or sell successfully on eBay or other online markets, download
business forms, start an e-newsletter, learn to use common business applications
like Microsoft Word and many others, co-operative advertising opportunities, and
wholesale and resale opportunities.
Iowa Organics Network Members also gain access to some powerful tools for
locating and landing a wide variety of grants, contracts, and awards. Whether
from the government or private organizations, we will help you find funding for
your project. We'll even show you where to learn how to write top-notch grant
applications.
For more information on marketing and promotional opportunities through the
Iowa Organics Network, mail to ION@zandergraphics.com or visit

Appropriate non-profit organizations are offered free listings, webspace, and
other services as our way of supporting their efforts.

The Iowa Organics Network is currently active for areas including the
following counties: Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk,
Linn, Muscatine, and Washington.

Future developments include an online organic marketplace, a searchable
database of organic producers and retailers, cookbooks, children's books,
homeschooling information and educational materials, and a jazzy new kids' area.

Everyone who joins ION as a Charter Member by February 15 receives a free web
page and enhanced ION Directory listing. All members who join before the Spring
Equinox will also be entered in a drawing for one of several Red Avocado gift
certificates to be given away.
